Merchant’s Hope Church

If you like history, you’ll appreciate the oldest (1657) Episcopalian church still utilized for worship in the US. Designated as a state and national Historical landmark. One of the great treasures is the Great Bible, rebound and not totally complete, was printed in London in 1639-40…considered to be the Bible with longest association with one parish.

US Army Quartermaster Museum

You’ll see how the Quartermaster Corps has sustained the US Army by supplying it with food, water, clothing, fuel, shelter and other things they can’t survive without throughout our history. General George Washington called the Quartermaster Corps the “department on which all the operations of an army essentially depend”.

The County provides recreational facilities in conjunction with public school sites and residential subdivisions, accessible from all parts of the County. All-season youth and adult sports, physical fitness programs, family trips & activities, special interest classes and youth support day camp programs are offered by the PG Department of Recreation & Parks. Two parks in the County, Scott Memorial Park and Temple Recreation Park, are open to residents from dawn to dusk.
